The name of the Association shall be: The National Association of Lively Families (NALF).
II
The purpose is for the non-profit organization to bring together members of Lively families of America and accomplish historical research.
III
Membership of the Association shall be Livelys, descendants and spouses.
IV
Offices of the Association shall consist of a President, Vice President, Youth Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, who shall comprise the Executive Council, with three members comprising a quorum. Additional officer shall be the Newsletter Editor.
Officers shall be elected for four years, except the Youth Vice President. In the event any officer is unable to fulfill the term and obligation of his/her office, except for the offices of President and Vice President, the President will appoint a member to fulfill the office until the next annual meeting, at which time the office will be filled by election for the remainder of the unexpired term.
The youth Vice President will be elected for a term of two years. This officer will be no younger than sixteen or older than twenty five, at the time of election.
In the event the President is unable to fulfill the term and obligation of the office, the Vice President will preside over the NALF for the balance of the President?s term; and he will appoint a member of the clan to fulfill the Vice President?s office until the next annual meeting, at which time the Vice President office will be filled by election for the remainder of the term. In the event the Vice President is unable to fulfill the obligation of the President?s office, a meeting of the Executive Council will be called and a person or persons shall be appointed to preside over the NALF until the next annual meeting, when a proper election can be held.
Duties of Officers:
President: Preside at all meetings; appoint standing and special committees; contribute to the newsletter; and is ex-officio member of all committees, except nominating committee.
Vice President: Assist the President at all meeting and in the absence of the President, assume the duties of President. The Vice President is Membership Chairman and Program Chairman.
Youth Vice President: Assist the President and preside at the President?s request. Take initiative in planning events for NALF youth and involving them in activities of the meeting. Take initiative in program planning to assure youth input and participation.
Secretary: Is the recording officer of the Association and custodian of its records. Keeps a register or roll of membership in NALF as well as a register of all known Lively families (non members). Takes care of correspondence of the Association.
Treasurer: Holds funds from dues, sale of books, supplies and contributions, and disburses monies ordered by the Association (NALF).
Newsletter Editor: Compiles, edits, addresses and mails the Newsletter.

Dues: The dues shall be $15.00 per year per family, or whatever amount that is necessary to keep the NALF solvent. Dues can only be raised by majority vote of the membership present at annual meetings.

Meeting Date and Place: Unless otherwise ordered by the NALF or by the Executive Council, the meeting of the Association will be held on the last full weekend in July at a place designated by the vote of the Association, and shall be for the purpose of bringing together the members of Lively families of America, as well as electing officers, receiving reports of officers and committees and for any other business that might arise.

Standing Committees: Standing committees of the Association shall be appointed by the President and will serve the same four year term of the officers. They will consist of Historian and Genealogist.
Historian: Will solicit, receive, store for reference significant data regarding the Association, and will keep the Association aware of its availability and location.
Genealogist: Will solicit, receive, compile genealogical data on Livelys of America, and supply for the quarterly Newsletter sheets of new genealogical data in the form of and supplementary to existing genealogy volumes regarding Livelys.

Special Committees: Special committees of the Association shall be appointed by the President and will consist of:
Reunion Location: The committee will consist of two members of the clan appointed annually. Duties: set aside a two hour period Saturday afternoon to receive invitations to host the next annual reunion. They will call for presentations on Saturday night and will be voted on Sunday morning.
Audit Committee: Will consist of two members of the clan appointed annually. Duties: Audit the treasurer?s books and report.
Nominating Committee: Will consist of three members of the clan appointed as necessary. Duties: To nominate a Youth Vice President every two years, and a full slate of officers every four years.
Program Committee: Will consist of the Vice President, as chairman, the President as ex-officio member, and three non-officer members appointed annually. One of the members will be the host or hostess of the annual meeting. Duties: They are to function between reunions to prepare program content and schedule, and determine a budget for the next reunion.

A Newsletter will be mailed to each family member quarterly. Deadlines for getting the newsletter manuscript to the printer will be: February 15 for the March Newsletter, May 15 for the June Newsletter, August 15 for the September Newsletter, November 15 for the December Newsletter.

Parliamentary authority shall be Roberts? Rules of Order.
XI
The constitution of the Association may be amended at the annual business meeting by a vote of the majority of the members present. Proposals to amend must be presented in writing to the Executive Council at least 90 days prior to the meeting at which said proposal will be voted upon.
